Headed out to bass islands today. Went through huge waves the biggest I've ever been in. Nothing so I went to west harbor limping back through waves. It was calm in there I pulled up on A bush someone didn't cut down all the way they must have dropped some in water. I got six of the bush. Two over 13.5 one black one white. Went to another channel end for a 13 in black and a 19 inch bass. Got many bluegills too. Fished a square channel system for an 18 in and 16 in bass. All of on 8ft ultra light with crappie magnet under a float. I heard the lake calmed down on radio so went to Kelly island for two hours until dark got walleyes and drums drifting crawlers and casting Erie Dearie. Water was 66 got up to 70 in west harbor

I headed out to main lake today and went around entire Kelly's island. Fishing was slow out there except for drum and white perch. I got one short walleye. I did get three nice smallies on a shake head minnow in shore rip rap, The wind picked up so I headed back into east harbor I started getting bass on a spinner bait. I switched to black and yellow crappie magnet under bobber. I got over thirty large mouth a couple gills and a white bass. All in under three hours. No crappie. Water was 68 at sundown. From experience at Kentucky lake and back home i know the blue spawn at the time went its 68 at sundown. I assume the crappie andone and don't know where they go. Especially on this lake. I like the look of west harbor more and think it may gut Be. Better for crappie.
