Thread: Rend 5-21 report

We had a tough time finding keepers yesterday, maybe due to the late start. We were on the water by 10:45 and fished until about 6pm. We could catch all the short fish we wanted, probably had 60-70, but only 4 keepers working the bushes.

Have the big fish moved out? or deeper in the bushes? early morning bite?

Fished Friday 5-19 and did well, Fished 7-11 and got a limit. All in the bushes on minnows. About 2/3 had eggs ranging from orange/blood to light yellow and loose. It surprised me that I did that well. I stayed in Gun Creek. A lot of them were not "in" the bushes but a foot or two toward the open water. Who knows...even a blind squirrel gets lucky. Had about 6 that went 12-13" and they all had eggs. Caught most between 9 and 10am. I can tell you what I caught, when, and where. The "why" is beyond me. Good luck.
