We had a great day yesterday. We caught lots of small bluegill and pumpkinseed, a few big redear, some bass, and a catfish. My friend lost a smallmouth right at the boat that would have been about 4lbs. We didn't catch a lot of redear, but I call the trip a great success because I did catch a couple of big ones, and this was my first ever attempt at catching them. They were all caught on an old roadbed with a popeye tipped with a wax worm fished about 2ft under a bobber.

I'm glad you ended up having a good trip. It sounds like is was a real good time with a good variety of fish which IMO is always fun.
Not asking for specific spots of course but just curious what area of Barkley did you end up fishing?
Glad someone is getting into them. I can't find them this year to save my life!
