    Default Lake Ozark 05/20/17

Fished mid lake main channel and caught 20 keepers over 10-1/2". Caught most of them 5-15 feet down in 30 FOW, very tight to structure, had to get hung up and let it set a second or two after getting it off the snag. It was tough fishing in the wind and current, hard to hit the spot they were clinging to. Water was like chocolate milk and water temp was 66-68 degrees. Used 1/8 oz pony head jigs with Booby Garlands beetle juice minnow minders.

I'm glad you got into them, I'm going to have to start making some of those pony head jigs I keep coming across folks that swear by them.

pony head jig is a homemade roadrunner, brother in law has the photos and hasn't emailed them to me yet.
Went yesterday and caught 14 more on the main channel, same method but couldn't catch any in the same spots as Saturday. Started out good caught 10 in a couple of spots in less than an hour but slowed down after that. The lake didn't have alot of debris where we were fishing, the current was movin it along. Caught most of the fish about 10' down. The structure had to be within 10' of the surface and the fish were still right in it, thank goodness for braided line, hate to think how many jigs we would of went thru without it. Hopefully post some pictures when I get them. Beautiful day and nobody else fishing. Water temp still around 67 and still muddy. Used Lake Fork baby shad in chartruese glow and Bobby Garland beetle juice minnow minder with 1/8 oz pony head jigs again. We have been fishing the Bobby Garland beetle juice with real good success since last fall.

Good job getting a limit. What part of the lake? I noticed the water is starting to clear up some in the Gravios.
