Thread: Good day.

On the lake just after daybreak today,on the hunt for some gills.I decided to go strictly under a slip float today,baiting with honey worms,mealworms,and some vanilla flavored imitation maggots.
1st cast netted a nice channel cat ( hard on my soft wire hook ), for the next 1/2 hr I must have hit the bass holding ground,catching more than a few.Finally,I caught a whiff of the bream beds,once I anchored in position,the fun was on.
Not wanting to fish out a spot,I kept a few,and moseyed on to other bedding sites.I suppose I caught well over 150 gills,mostly off beds,but tossed the most back.I wrapped it up a 1400 hrs,bringing home 50 keepers,and the channel cat.........I'm tired of filleting.
I won't be fishing for a few weeks,I'm training my red heeler pup to ride and behave in my kayak......hopefully

How bout a pic of your dog? I want a blue heeler though I never seen a red one.
