    Default High Rock Report 5-13

Started about 9am on Saturday and left about 4. We probably caught over a hundred and kept 20. It was good to spend a little time with Jericho since he's on summer break from UNC. He had the catch of the day.

All fish were caught on jigs and were caught scattered all over Abbotts creek.

What depths were the fish at? Thinking about heading up there Saturday.

The best fish were on woody items (blowdowns, dock posts, etc.) The numbers of smaller fish came from the dark (shaded) areas of pontoons and docks. Most were between 6-12 feet deep which is typical of Abbott's creek since it is so shallow. If you know where Lawrence Pfeffercorns old place is make sure you give it a try. It was loaded around the blowdowns there.
FYI, the spawn is still happening there. We put several keepers back that still were full of eggs. One was squiring them out as I took her off the hook.

Planning to troll crankbaits up at the Rock Saturday. Think I will try Flat Creek first and see how it goes.
