Jim and I have been checked twice by DNR on Lake Oconee. We were checked in the spring of 2016 in Sugar Creek and this winter on the Appalachee. I agree with you. I wish they were out there more often.Originally Posted by Slabby15

they checked the last boat i bought last year when i came in to the landing they said i was making a wake in a no wake zone i barley had in in gear i thought maybe it was my wife in the back it is a stick staring. they were on the bank wit bernocklers looking over the water for boating violations . they can get the # off your boat and send you a citation . witnessed one met a sky do driver at the ramp chewed hem out and gave hem a ticket for playing to close to other boats . they just don`t have enough wardens out there . got 2 fishermen using a shocking devise up the flint not long ago $400.00 per person . the other county on the other side of the river it is $800.00 .

As far as rangers, i usually see them about twice a year on average at the hill. One ranger admitted that they are way understaffed. They are out a lot on calls. See them usually around holidays.
