    Default Turkey Creek?

I'm trying to learn more about this place. There isn't much talk of this place online. I've fished it a couple of times with some success but can't pinpoint what factors determine water conditions. I fished two days ago and the water was muddy, I managed to catch a few but couldn't find a pattern of any kind. Caught some in 2fow and some in 9fow. Does anyone know of someway to learn of conditions other than going to see for yourself?

I have no experience there. A guy told me once they tear them up around the cypress trees on a black/white tube jig in March but don't know which trees he was talking about.

That place can be tough, had a local guy once told me years ago that when it warmed up and the sun got up to fish the shade made by the tree. Open water isolated trees. It worked but that was years ago

Thanks. I am determined to figure that place out. It is one of the most beautiful places I've ever fished. Finding a tree is like finding a needle in a pile of needles. But I guess that is what it's all about?

It used to be one of my favorite places to fish, before they drew it down. It should be coming back now. It's full and the ouachita river flooded back into it last March and that should help too. Good luck

i was raised not too far from there and it has always been good fishing.use your depth finder and locate the channel by the bridge and fish from the bridge toward the spillway.also if you can find your way to kings landing it holds alot of cypress trees that is very good fishing.probably not a good idea to try and get to it from the main lake if you do not live there or fish it a lot.most people there are friendly people and can direct you.good luck and good fishing!!!

Use to fish it with my daddy, but that was soooooooo looooong ago. LOL. Wish I could help, but if you keep at it, I bet you will get the hang of it before too long.

I've heard about the fish in the shade of trees in the summer also, never tried it though.

I have caught some in summer around stumps or tops the were covered in hyacinth. Just drop a jig through the grass and hang on.

Far as muddy water goes you may need to start keeping track of the ouachita river stages so you can figure out when it and boueff river back up into it.
