Default A Beautiful Day at the Lake of the Ozarks 05/12/2017

for bass fishing. Yea yea yea them ol green fish. I started off shallow with a spinner bait and got nothing then switched to a buzz bait and whack whack whack. That bite continued but I switched back to the spinner bait at 1000 hours and kept catching large mouths with some spots here and there. Mixed in a square bill and weightless wacky worm when the water got slick. I fished the 1 to 4 mile marker anywhere from super skinny water to deeper secondary points, but regardless the fish were on the bank. The bite held up all day but I had to get home for dinner. I probably had 15 pounds on my best five; however it was the "should have been better kind of day." Lost a 3 lb two solid 4lbers, and I'd say maybe a 6 lb plus. I saw the fish hit my buzz bait, I saw her back, I saw the swirl, and then I saw my line go slack...I guess life goes on.......
