    Default Indian Lake

Tried Indian Lake for a few hours Wednesday (4/5/17) and unloaded at Blackhawk and stayed in that area as wind was defiantly as issue. Water was 55-57 deg and we were skunked in the four hours we fished. As we fished the channel toward Lucys Pond a tree fell and got us to looking around and with ash bore, beavers and well as just plane age one must be ready to move and hopefully get out of the way. I believe this channel was dredged a few years ago and now has a lot of trash on the bottom (tree) so one must be careful trolling or jigging in this area. Hope to be up here and or at Brown this next week. Good luck to all !!!

Water 57-58 with a high of 60 in north fork (muddy) and wind was not an issue today. We noticed that the water level was up from last Wednesday and it was high then. No luck around Indian head. south bank, dream bridge, reserve area as well as north fork. We didn't feel as bad because Every one else struck out for the most part.

Size: 67.4 KBOut this past week (5/7-5/10) with a little more luck especially on 5/9 as the pic shows. Started out alone and a former coworker called as he got the afternoon off and was headed up to Indian. Water was in the id to upper 50's muddy to stained and cloudy with very little wind. All we had was artificial bate so it was on I had two in the boat before TJ made it up after lunch and we finished at 4:35 with nine in the boat all eyes with me having caught ten (6 keepers) and TJ with 4 (three keepers). I used all Kietech with red 1/8oz jig head and TJ started with green big josh and green/yellow southwick stick bate and ended up asking me for Kietech for BOTH poles. To say the least it was a good day !!!!!! Thanks again Intimidator ,Kietech work great !!

Size: 48.7 KBWent out yesterday from 7:30am till 1:30 with my neighbor Richard and after a slow start it ended with 14 fish, one keeper crappie (had eggs), nine keeper saugeye four under size saugeye as well that were put back to grow up. Water temp 62.7 to 64.4 an clarity has improved to say the least from last week. Wind was an issue as that is why we stopped and I'm sure the same reason others did as well. Live bate was tried but no luck as ALL were caught on artificial as well tried for crappie in the pads in several areas but had no luck at all till we went out on the main lake. Used the trolling motor till the wind picked up then drifted with the trolling motor used only to control drift a little better. Out next week as the weather for the next few days will be an issue, good luck to all.

Out again this morning on Indian as I knew the wind was to pick up and it sure did. Got out around 7:15 am and pulled out about 10:30,water temp 70.6 level was UP and clarity was stained to just plain MUDDY.no bites or even a stick bite. But I don't feel to bad as I talked to a couple of others who did not have any luck as well. Hope to be out either on Indian or CJ Thursday to try it again !

Out this morning with my neighbor in his tracker as he decided in Indian rather than cj. I had four dink saugeye and he had one 18 1/4 and a 13 3/4 most were caught on artificial others were tipped with a leach. Water temp was 69-71 deg and it started out (7 am) with a light breeze and ended around noon with a steady chop not quiet white capping. A lot of boats on the lake fishing and some were trolling what looked like 5+ mph others anchored and just watching everyone else. Hope to be out again next week either on Indian or CJ Brown so good luck to all and may your fish tails you catch be longer than the ones you tell .

Size: 65.3 KBOut yesterday in my boat and my neighbor and his son in his. Got on the water at 6:45 and off at 10:30 as the wind had really picked up and was whited capping. Water was in the low 70's and nice when we started. Neighbor and son ended up with five total one keeper at 17in .I had three total two keepers one at 15+in and one at 18in+ all on artificial bate.(Kietech)Wind is an issue with my ski/fish so I hope to be out week after next on CJ and try what I've learned on Indian.

Went out this morning on Indian with a water temp in the low to mid 70's and the wind was just a slight breeze at first and picked up as the day went on. Two boat and four fishermen you would think we could do good, we started at about 8 and my son and I quit at 4:30 (-lunch) and we were the only boat to land ONE CAT. Had a good time trying out me new to me tracker 175tf and my son was really impressed as was I,will be out on CJ tomorrow and again up on Indian with the wife next week. Good luck to All and remember a good day fishing is only surpassed by a good day of catching.
