I just replaced the motor this winter. Motor was under warranty,so was free. Hardest part was them spring clips that hold the motor in.

Actually this one does not have a motor per say. It uses a stator just like the stator on a outboard except runs like a motor instead of charging. The stator bolts on then it has a flywheel with magnets that slides on to the splined drive shaft for the drum. This is one of those high effency machines and on spin cycle it really turns up the RPM's. Couldn't turn those speeds with a regular motor and gear box. Kind of interesting how they designed it to work like it does. Got a bunch of coils on the stator and I'm guessing it turns on and off different sets of coils to make it go back and forth while agitating and less coils for slow spin while pumping out then adds more coils for faster speed. If I had laid the machine flat on its back installing all that stuff wouldn't have been such a problem. That one you just did is a lot tuffer. You need 4 hands in a space for one.

Whirlpool Cabrio, one of those high effency . Uses very little water. Spins so fast and so long clothes are almost dry when you take them out.dosnt do a very good job on my work clothes. Dosnt really get them clean unless you just wash a few pieces at a time. This is a top load but works like a front load.

Guy could make a pretty good living doing that stuff if willing to get reasonable price for your labor.
