Thread: 4/29 Lock 1 trip. Soccer then Sacalait

This past Saturday had 2 soccer games in the morning for my little fishing buddie. I brought the boat with us and left after the game... we took our time, stopped for lunch and got up there around 1pm, we had my best friend,mother of my boys, my lovely wife with us today. She came to get some sun and some wind... she got both. The wind was BLOWING as we all know and water was clear and man this is a beautiful area... We ran about 20 mins up and I could see Caden wanted to fish and not look for structure with fish, so I picked a spot and bam we are on fish!! all under 8" , we caught 10 and then got blown out by a mud boat passing right next to us.. we made two more stops and caught a few more... i then said okay, now we do it the way we are supposed too Caden... he agreed.. we started back down and there is the structure and no fish... did this for about 10 mins and then BAM, structure and fish, minnow on ,3ft down and bam, 6 Sacs in the boat, biggest 14" and a big boat blows bye, didn't slow down. Shut us down; looked at the wife and said you ready? Cause I'm getting hungry. She was surprised, I was ready to leave but with the big wind, hungry, 1 hour drive back home and I came , I saw, and I caught no need to fight that wind anymore. I will be back soon!
