Thanks to everyone for making the Spring Fling a success. I hadn't fished Green for about four years so it was nice to know that at least some of my old spots still hold fish. Day one was a banner day fishing
solo in the camo Triton joined by Doug and Rickie in Doug's boat. Big fish were a 13.5" white and a 12.5" black, caught countless fish pulling crankbaits all day. Bonus fish was a 18.5" muskie early in the morning. Day two was off to a slower start for me as the bait had moved quite a bit but once we landed on them, the cookie cutter 9 1/4"-9 1/2" white crappie were steady. Three nice white bass rounded off the day and it is nice to see them making a comeback in the lake.

The fish were surprisingly still suspending over the deep flats and not relating to significant structure. Crankbait trollers and planer board fishermen should be having a field day right now. Do your homework, put in a little time to cover some water, and you'll be rewarded with good numbers.

It definitely wont be another four years before I return. Already looking forward to next year's event. We'll hopefully see you guys this fall at the KY Lake fall shindig.

Thank you Adam for your help and information. I caught 18 this morning before the wind push me off the lake. The wind so bad had two foot rollers. There come over front of boat time to go in. It was good to meet you Doug and Rickie.

John, don't take this the wrong way but I had to laugh when you mentioned 2 foot rollers. 2 foot rollers on KY Lake is a calm day. Try some 5-6 foot rollers where you have to look up to see daylight between waves.

Rickie, Adam and I all noticed the difference in most of the bass boats on Green. I saw far more 18-19 foot glitter boats there. You will see mostly 20-22 foot boats here. Refer back to 5-6 foot rollers.
