Thread: Spring Fling

Yeah boy sure was a big time. Big thanks to Chucky ant pappy for putting in the grunt work and SLAB and all the sponsors that make it all go round. Thanks to Mr Dux and rickie for there cranking and electronic seminars, they came a good piece to share their knowledge and visit with us. (Mr Dux also donated a fishing trip for the prize drawings) see you next month Doug, my dad is excited to say the least. Speaking of my dad, guess I'm creating him an account for crappie.com when we get home. To all that couldn't make it I hope it works out for you next time, it is a great event. Thanks again to all.

Good food and good folks! Thanks chucky and pappy for all the work you do. Nice to meet slab and billbob for the first time. Also really appreciate Doug and rickie for doing a seminar to share some really good advice on cranking and how to get the best out of our electronics. The sponsors really put in some great prizes. I got lucky enough to leave with a 14ft southern crappie rod. Another great event in the books.

I got 1 of those 14' Southern rods myself. Thanks to all for coming and thanks to Terry and Chucky for getting it all together. Hope to see all of you next year, or maybe this fall at the Ky lake Shindig.

Rickie, Adam, and I really didn't know what to expect even though Adam had fished Green a lot. He mentored Rickie and I on some spots to try and we caught a BUNCH of fish. Trolling cranks in 40 feet of water was a new experience but very productive.

We felt like we were among a group of old friends, even though I had not met most of you. It was so good to see BillBob there and moving slowly but moving in the right direction. Thanks to Ed for such a great site where we can renew old friendships and start new ones. Pappy, Chucky and all the guys who cooked and planned did a great job.

I'm hoping Pappy will post a sticky so the business that donated items can be recognized. We have to face the fact that such donations are an expensive form of advertising and without them, our events would still go on but probably not be as well attended.

As soon as Chucky and I recuperate, I will get the list of sponsors & post it ... or maybe Chucky will do that, himself. In any event, it will be on here in the next few days.
