I use mine all the time. It works great. Make sure you leave it on #1 when not in use. Something about the way it powers the switch, when you leave it on #2 it will kill the battery over a couple weeks.

As johndeere mentions - 1 leg of the HB TS3 Switch is 12v relay powered ...

The HB TS3 Switch is basically a Y cable with a relay at the Junction of the Y ...

1 leg is "line thru" - which means sonar data can pass thru this leg (from the xducer to the head unit) without any 12v power to the HB TS3 Switch ...

When the toggle switch is toggled = it sends 12v power to the relay at the Y Junction of the HB TS3 Switch to allow sonar data to pass thru the "switched leg" (from the xducer to the head unit) ...

The easiest way to test which leg of the HB TS3 Switch is the "line thru" leg is to connect an xducer before connectijg 12v power = the leg that allows sonar data thru the HB TS3 Switch to the head unit without 12v power to the HB TS3 Switch is the "line thru" leg ...

HB has discontinued the HB TS3 Switch but it can still be found online ...
