Default Color of water on the 'Ville

Does anybody care to share the color of the water at various times of the year
on Lake Shelbyville? I am trying to tie some rigs to try spider rigging this year
and am trying to match my gnat colors to the water color. Thanx for your help!!

Dave, I usually use orange/chartreuse, red/chartreuse, black/chartreuse in the spring.. straight minnows in summer... and back to orange/red/black chartreuse in the fall... North End. South end usually use the lighter colors blue, silver, grays, I've got some really good colors from Donnie @ Crappielogic he's done for me over the past years! But i Mainly use the Threadneck's! Hope this helps you out..

Thank you!! I talked to Donnie earlier this morning and ordered
some of his "gnats" to use for spider rigging. I guess I'll have to
call him back and get some of the "threadnecks" as well. I asked
him to make some for me that he makes for some of his clients
that fish Rend specifically. Thanx again! Tight Lines - Dave

I just fished the south end, put in at 9th street and fished up to point 3. The water there was what I would consider clear. You could see a jig 3 feet down everywhere I went. I don't fish there much so I don't know if this is normal or not. Just an observation. Bo

Just my opinion, but it's shelbyville just single pole.....9/10 times those fish are related to structure.....if you think you need to rig just hoover over them with miners, gnats won't make that big of difference sitting still if you are on the fish, save your money....
