    Default Rend lake buck brush

I recently started a topic on perfered jig colors for fishing the brush and got some info. I was wondering how long does that bite usually last for? I'm wondering if 2 week of may will be to late.....

Typically the buckbrush bite lasts until the end of May.

Nick and Uncle Bob will not steer you wrong. If you really want to learn
how and where to fish the brush, try their guide service. You won't be
disappointed. I just wish I could get down there more than 2-3 times
a year. This year I'm taking my wife. Tight Lines - Dave

You should be good with the new water coming in, those fish should be happy for a while!

Not sure too much is possible when fishing bushes. The more water the more places to get boats far back in. Plus it will enable some fish to spawn that will never be fished for while doing their deed.

At the crest predicted it becomes overwhelming to me. It's great for the lake and fun to fish, but it takes time on the water to know what areas are productive. Last time it was this high I fished those suckers till I was blue in the face before I found some productive bushes

I was one of the crazies who fished Rend today!! 60 or 70 crappie today, almost all dinks!!! Only had five keepers. Set in at Hickman point boat dock and stayed in the cove the whole time I was there! I'm sure the water is up in the parking lot by now. Not sure how long it will take for the fish to adapt to this high of water. I'm sure Nick or Bob could tell you. 3 to 4 ft. rollers on the main lake, water crashing into the rocks on 154 so hard that the water was splashing up higher than the highway!!
