Always go with confidence and a little cocky to go with it don't hurt anything either. Good luck to you.

I got out today for about 4 hours. I got 18 feet of fish, 9 inches at a time. Not sure about tomorrow, yesterday when I backed the boat down the ramp the brake pedal went to the floor on the truck. I look under the hood and see a brake line has rusted through. I will have to get the truck up to Benton in the morning to the GMC dealer. If that's the worst thing that happens to me this week I have it made!! JC

If Country Chevrolet can't get to it quick, turn onto 641 north and start toward Draffenville. Look for the Dairy Queen on your left. About 1/2 block north of Dairy Queen, look for the NAPA store on your right. Glen's Auto Repair is right next to NAPA. They have always done good by me. I had them replace a 4x4 hub recently and they did it quick and reasonable.

Thanks for the info, But County Chevrolet got on the job first thing today for me.. mrdux, I am trying to figure out the crank bait deal but I am doing pretty good on green jigs with green curly tails in Jonathan creek. I got 5 of them that are 15+ inches today and a few nice bass that I let go. I will keep the updates coming. Thanks everyone on this site for info. JC

I'm still finding white females with eggs in 16ft ... 27 keepers today - culled out to take home the 20 biggest (I like my Podunk aeration system) ...

Water temp has cooled off a little since the rain this week ... 67° ...

You jig boys can have that rubber ... My fish like meat ...and Moose gnats ...!!!!

I have only done fair on jigs so today I put on 7 cranks. They pretty much all caught fish but the one that looks like a bass was being swallowed by the 15" + crappies. I'm going to see if I can find a few of them in the bait shops around here. I will post a pic of it when I get a chance. There is a huge amount of 8 - 9 inch fish in this lake, so I would think that is a good sign for the future. JC
