    Default Kentucky 4/21/17

Haven't fished Kentucky in a long time, decided to put on the rain gear and give it a go this morning for a change of scenery. First spot I idled over was loaded and only took a couple more stops to get to 20. Heard several people say the spawn was over this week, I had almost talked myself into believing it, Lol. Couldn't be further from the truth. These prespawn fish came from 20-30fow and were alot closer to the mainlake than the spawning banks.

I thought about you actually, I was marking schools away from the wood as well and was thinking you would drill them dragging cranks through them.

Been doing it for 3 weeks. I got tired of the shallow bite changing daily and moved back out to deeper water and went with what I have the most confidence in---cranks. I am yet to see a female that has spawned or a tail that has been rubbed down from fanning.

I took ninety percent of my catch this year from deep brush. None were ready to drop their eggs.

Wednesday was 90% white females in 15ft of water ...

Every female still had eggs that didn't even look close to ready ...

I think these bigger whites will spawn deeper ... Too many dang carp cruising' the surface ...
