    Default Colors on rend lake

I am thinking about making a trip down shortly to try my hand in fishing the brush.... I have never fished rend before so I was hoping I could get some suggestions on what color head and jigs to use for the lake. Any help would be much appreciated!

Many color combinations work but here's what I use. I always use a pink jig head as for the plastic I keep it with 2 colors chartreuse or black/chartreuse. When you get it in front of them they will bite what ever color your using!

I havent fished rend in a long time. But when we did we used non painted jig head and either a white grub or a double tail white grub. We fished jackie branch a lot.

Pink jig chart use tail, pink jig with mint green or lime green body, pink or chartreuse jig with white body or if water dirty chartuse head black body with chartreuse tail. I have done well on those colors. Except when water was dirty I went to the last color

I might add there is very little buckbrush with any water on it. Lake is extremely low and dangerous to navigate. Be carefull.

Dang, that's not the kind of info I was wantin' to hear!
I'm heading down there in a week or so and was hopin'
to have some luck in the brush. Well, maybe we'll get
some soakin' rains down there and the level will come up!
