WELL IT IS TIME FOR THE BIG REVEAL. If you were a computer techie like "G" you would have just pulled up the photo ID and looked at the name. That is what he did. IF you were sneaky like me you would have taken a mirror photo so the name on the hat was "Bass ackwards" to give you a clue. Let me tell you about this person. He is one of the first people to friend me on another website where "G" and Bob Spare were also members. Our friendship goes back over eight years. I found him to be very knowledge and helpful to all who ask him questions. This man and Skiptomylu were my mentors here on the forum when it came to tying jigs or making soft plastic baits. Both of those skills I learned right here on Crappie dot com. I had so much respect for this person that I recommended him to Ed to be the first Crappie dot com MOY. This was an honor that he had earned and truly deserved.
The other person who people thought it was happened to be another good friend of mine. They thought it was Skiptomulu, but this is not Skip.
The most interesting response was from PawPaw "gene". He said "Ship having met both of them I never realized that they look somewhat alike. Thank for the contest.
From S10CHEVY: "Bob from Oklahoma that makes plastics."
From TeeDee: "Bob Hinkle or something close. If I'm correct he ties jigs and I just watched a few of them yesterday or so. "
From PawPaw "Gene" : snake river = Bob's jigs
From Cray: "Bob, from Bob's jigs. Have meet him twice. Super nice guy."
From Crappiepappy: "That's BOB !! (aka Snake River)"
From Shipahoy41: "This is my friend and mentor Bob Hinkle, known as Snake River."
Also getting it right were....
Slab
KyCreek
Bob Hinkle
Aquatic Species Removal Engineer.
May God be with you. Keep CALM and STAY ANCHORED with your faith.
Thank you Mike for all the kind words. my hubby started when I was a young man about 13 years old so I've been tying jigs for many years in the past 12 years I started making plastic baits I sold jigs in the 70s and 80s with little or no success because we did not have a computer to work with so I closed that out and when I moved to Eastern Oregon and got a computer and start working with it we decided to restart our hobby and part-time business it was a dream of mine for many years to sell fishing tackle to people my true joy was fishing for a crappie so that's why everything that I do now in the way of tackle it is for that one little fish. when I found crappie.com I thought I'd died and went to heaven this site was my dream come true because I was so many people did enjoy fishing for crappie. I'm enclosing a picture of me and skip that you guys guest who is who in the picture again thank you Mike for all the beautiful and kind words.
