Went out for my last fishing day this week on vacation with the bride. Went to just one creek and stayed there. Action was between 8:00 and 10:30. Caught 15 in staging area. Threw back about 10 dinks, kept 4 or 5 males at 11 inch to see what is going on. They were very dark which told me they been in shallow water. All males had spent the milk just remnants left inside. Pretty much like it has ben all week except previous day got some bigger fish. In 15 to 25 feet of water fishing 1/16th mostly .8 mph sometimes 1.0 mph. I am convinced by this week most of time you need to tip the jigs long line in Lake Wylie.

Nice catch Mike glad you got to spend the day with the bride. Good thing I went home Thursday. I felt so bad Friday I spent most of the day in my recliner. See you Friday morning.
Good catch CK. I use minnows many times longlining as I see a big difference this time of the year in my catch rate.

Brett, you don't need to use road runners, just use a 1/16 jig head. Best is gold crappie hook and a split shot and troll a little slower! Minnows work better more than you think.![]()
Ok
