Great guide service on Kentucky Lake
Took my dad on a fishing trip today with (mrdux) at Crappie, Gills and More, we battled treacherous winds, big waves, but caught lots of keepers! Doug had to work hard today steering the boat, but kept us on the fish. Highly recommend Crappie, Gills and more!

Chaunc and all: Yep, I am truly a perchjerker. most of my tackle consists of jigs and hooks/sinkers, slip bobbers. I don't have a decent supply of cranks, maybe 12 Bandits(200-300's) and about 20 other various lures that look like Bandits that may or may not work for Crappie Crankin. Also, I really don't have my 16 ft. Lowe's Sryker set up for trolling. So, to be honest, the trip is to learn what I need (baits, poles, rigging) to get some idea of how to set my boat for crankin. I'm pretty much a Jig fisherman, (casting, not trolling) and when I find a few on a jig in an area, I go back and work the same area with minnows. Like I said, looking forward to the trip. I have the utmost respect for guides, they work their butt's off to help you get onto fish, regardless of the results. I've only hired 3 guides in the past 20 years, and all have been great. Learned a lot from each trip and well worth the money. When I truly retire, maybe I can spend about 100 days/year fishing and keep up with the patterns/techniques. Currently, too dang busy working.
