fished Friday, Saturday, and Sunday last week. Fish are very shallow. Caught some real nice fish in the coves around Youngs Landing on the stake beds and brush piles. it was really hard to get to 10 fish because of all the pressure but honestly they were not biting that good anywhere else. We tried brush piles north of south greysport ramp and choctaw, outside of redgrass but no real luck. The fish were where the crowds were but you had to share and rework the same spots. It did seem the best numbers came from late afternoon. We did not troll, it was all single pole jigging.
Thanks to all for the tips where to fish on Grenada. We found the people in Grenada some of the friendliest you could ever meet.
My Trolling motor went down on Friday morning and cut our day short, brought boat back to Motel found the problem and fixed it.
I had scraped the skin on my left foot Wednesday morning at the boat ramp before I went wading in the lake pushing boat through the mud flats that i posted about in an earlier post. Friday My foot was red and had to go into clinic for 2 shots and prescriptions for a infection the doctor said was staff.
Saturday morning the trolling motor died and ended our boat fishing, we fished from the bank rest of the time. Still enjoyed the trip and hope to return with a new trolling motor and a better feel for the lake.
Most of the fish we caught were in the 1-1/2 2lb range with one that went 3.1. It is an awesome lake to fish
Thanks again
