Default Installation help for HDI Transducer on Motorguide Xi5

I'm trying to find a solution for installing my Lowrance HDI transducer on my Motorguide Xi5.

I've watched Youtube that shows Minn Kota Ultera and Ultrex running the wire up shaft and out the head. It appears the Motorguide does not have the same clearance for the wire.

I've seen a post where someone makes a kit that puts your cable thru a coiled tube. But I couldn't find it.

cornfieldcrappiegear.com also there's podunkideas.com "DA-DUCER" device, either one will do what you want and both are highly recommended products

What you need for the HDI is the HDI trolling motor adaptor part# : 000-10978-001 around $20

    Wallyandre,
I have that adapter and no problem for the installation. My concern is the Xi5 is digital steer and the shaft rotates 360 degrees. This could have the potential of wrapping the transducer cable around the shaft to the point of snapping the cable into. That would be a $130 mistake.

That device looks like it would work. However, I was hoping for a solution without adding another gadget to the front of my boat... it already looks like a magnet drug through a marine and hardware store!!! LOL!!!
