    Thought of that, but won't area for wire keeper fill with lead? Spend plenty of time cleaning up jig heads already and don't care to add another step.

    You can omit the wire. The extra cleanup is very minor

    I have a minnow head mold with the barb on it. I use my incompletes to trim for no collar needs. I like my minnow heads, use em a lot.

    I don't have minnow head mold but I have the tear drop mold and if I don't put the wire keepers in there is no extra trimming where the wire keeper should be, I don't know if the minnow head would be the same.
