Default Suprised there are not more spawn reports

I was hoping to get to LOZ last weekend and figured they'd be really starting to move shallow. I figured the forum would be lit up with posts of spawners. Maybe I'll hit it right when I go this weekend, but I guess I'll start at the deeper spots (which are still only about 10-12') around me rather than hitting the shallows, eh?

Fished yesterday, a little windy, but still brought home 6 keepers. All fish came from 14-16 fow and minnows were the only thing they would bite. Water temp 56, the way the forecast looks, Im guessing they have 10-15 more days before they move shallow, if they even will, asmuch as the corp messes with the lake level.
Thanks Hogster1 thanked you for this post

Last weekend on the Glaize arm I cuaght them around brush in 10-14 fow. Males were starting to color up and the females eggs were still solid. Water temp was 57 so I would say another week or two and it will be on at least in that area.
I heard a report from the 60mm that they had already started and we're on the banks.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Thanks I'll be sure to give a report from the niangua area from my trip this weekend. I haven't found them on the banks in good numbers in a couple years being a weekend fisherman, so I won't count on the shallow bank bite, but we're on a big shallow mud flat, so I plan to head down lake to fish deeper water and develop more deep water spots assuming my new SI unit, that I installed last weekend instead of going fishing, actually works. If all else fails, I'll try some shroomin.
