Most of us don't have spindles that are drilled to lube the inter bearing. Most grease is made of lithium, which is lard. Get it hot and it becomes a solid. We pump up our Bearing Buddies year after year. What bearing fails? The inter bearing. Change your grease. Get a petroleum base grease. Wash and blow out your system before adding good grease.

Thanks guys, appreciate the help. to clarify, the trailer just has dust caps on it, so I just want some that I can put grease in the hubs via grease gun fitting. Don't think it has the drilled axle or hub you guys mention.

You can get bearing protectors at walmart.....just measure the size of your dust cap and buy protectors the sames size and remove duct cap and drive the bearing protector in in its place. I bought some the other day and put on my camper.

Don't overfill. You will blow out the rear seal and cause more problems than you solve.

Don't buy these. 1.98" Wheel Bearing Protectors, 1 Pair
The plate that the zirk is screwed into is plastic. If the zirk fitting on your grease gun hangs on it you'll break the plastic getting it off. I greased the bearings on my camping/kayak trailer, broke one of the plates. Replaced them after we got home.
