Don, new phone. I figured out how to send pictures to my email, haven't got it set up to post yet.
PM your cell phone number and I'll send a couple. You can post them if you wish

I went back today, from the bank. Threw out every color I had, from shallow to as deep as I could get. Then stopped at another spot. Only person catching was about 12 ft deep. I couldn't throw out that far.
It was hot, 83 degrees. The next couple of days will be cooler.

Don't believe there are any crappie left in that spot. It has become a gar hole.

Gar will make good chicken feed, they aren't picky about the fish as I am.

A lot more people were using minnows. One guy caught a good sized bass, 3 or 4 pounder.

The christmas tree stake bed the guy was standing on saturday? A guy caught a good crappie in it and hung up. When he would release the line the fish would run. Pull it up and it was hung in the bed. He walked out and brought the fish and tree in. His boots weren't tall enough for the half thigh depth water.

Looking at the 7 day forecast the high through friday is suppose to be below 65. Saturday suppose to jump 10 degree, sunday 6 more. Might do good shallow saturday morning before the water heats up.

Pack your 2 man and give me a call. I'll pack a yak and meet you down there somewhere.

That's a big negative on that one, wish I could. I thought about that trying to slip down there tomorrow and at least get a afternoon in of fishing. It seems I'm but a slave to the "captains of industry", work tomorrow, pack the truck, trailer tomorrow evening, drive 3 hours, eat, get a room, wake up and go to work, drive home Saturday night (hope to be home by 9pm), try to fish local Sunday and repeat the process all over Monday morning. Plus I will have two other guys with me, and they will be wanting to get home asap. Can't complain, working is what keeps me crappie fishing, and also eating and shelter is in the top 3 as well..

My daughter-in-law called me. The booster club has a $100 gift card to Texas Roadhouse for me for my time building the target traps. I didn't donate my time to get paid. I'll turn in a $100 check. The $100 could knock one cadet out of going to Paris Island for a week stay or officer's training.
Most of their supplies come from the Marine Corp at half price. On pellets and paper targets I found a supplier that will save them another 19% and free shipping.
