Ruston or West Monroe are both within about 30 minutes of the lake (Ruston a little closer) and have lots quality motels. Of course, you can't beat D'Arbonne State Park and its cabins. Right on the lake.

It's FULL of stumps and trees. Better take lots of rigs and tackle. It's a nightmare in the wind. A single jig works better in all that cover. Lots less hangups that way.

D'Arbonne Lake Motel is mid lake at the 33 bridge in Farmersville. Reasonable rates, Great Lake veiw, lots of boat parking, and convenient to some good eats.
STAY IN THE BOAT LANES WHEN YOU RUN THE LAKE OR ELSE!!!!!!!!! They are very well marked with the creeks on sign posts on the boat trails.
