    Found a few reds this afternoon. Won't be long now.


    Hogsters phone
    There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

    look different than the morels I get, all cap and not much stem. will be looking for them in a couple of days.

    They are reds. They are not hollow like a morel, they are meaty. Slice them into slabs and fry up with your favorite coating. I like either kentucky kernel seasoned flour or finely crushed saltine crackers.
    Warning if you have not ever had them eat a piece or two and wait. Some folks get upset stomach from them. Usually only from the bigger ones though.ie big meaning larger than a softball.
    I found and ate one two years ago that was volleyball sized and it made me sick to my stomach. So I only eat them no bigger than a softball.

    When ya clean them the stem will have dirt in it just cut it off above that point
