I had a short 2.5 hour fishing trip alone in the middle of the day today. I caught 3 keepers in 12 feet of water on 1/24 oz jigs in BG Full Moon color. I caught 7 shorts in various spots, including 5 in one brush pile in Wolftever creek. Lots of people out in the middle of the day and when the wind picked up, I decided to go home. I was getting hungry anyway. Grin. While I was scouting, I saw lots of suspended fish in 12-14 feet of water around bait balls. I did check the shallow water with floater and jig, but no fish shallow today. They probably won't be back shallow until next week when the full moon phase begins. The females that haven't completed their spawn, should come in then and finish the job. The 3 fish that I kept for dinner were all females and over 50% spawned out.

'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
Nice
And with that, I'll see you on the water...

Thanks for the report. I had the same report for the same time and place so instead of making my own I will add to yours. I caught all shorts in Wolftever as well and no shallow fish at all for me either. The 6 keepers I did catch were up the lake past the state park on brush in 10-12 feet of water like yours. Bluegrass and blue-black/chartreuse seemed to be the best colors for me. The water is warming up fast and I am already seeing the grass beds starting to grow.
