Crappie Turnament results
Yesterdays results!
Pro Division Results
no joking around on this April Fools Day for Dennis Outlaw of Camden, South Carolina and Russell Rush of Columbia, South Carolina who took first place in the Pro Division with a total weight of 10.27 pounds and earning $1,400.00, plus and additional $100.00 for 2nd place Big Fish. The team fished the area of the weigh-in site and the back of Catawba Creek long line trolling using AWD bubblegum color jigs in 20 – 30 feet of water to catch 40 fish, including their 2nd place Big Fish of the event that weighed 1.78 pounds.
Stokes McClellan of Huntersville, North Carolina and Jordan Newsome of Iron Station, North Carolina took second place with a total weight of 9.80 pounds and earned $600.00, plus an additional $250.00 Ranger Cup Bonus. The team fished above the bridge area long line trolling Charlie Brewer Slider jigs in June Bug color to land over 75 fish for the day.
Taking third place were Randy Pope and Steven Deitz weighing in at 8.86 pounds and earning $400.00. The Hickory, North Carolina team fished docks in 10 – 30 feel of water using Little Fishy jigs in white to catch over 100 fish for the event. They had to cover many different areas of the lake to find their fish.
Tommy Slice and Will Hinson had Big Fish of the tournament, a 1.81 pounder, that they found in Mill Creek using a Black Skipper jig in 13 feet of water and earning a check for $240.00.
Joe and Janette Carter won the Talon Bonus and a check for $250.00.
Amateur Division Results
Forrest and Jacob Walker, both of Byron, Georgia took first place in the Amateur Division with a total weight of 8.25 pounds and earned $700.00. The team fished several areas of the lake trolling, casting and vertical jigging in 13 – 25 feet of water using Jenko Jigs of assorted colors to catch 50 – 60 fish on Saturday. Team Walker also won the Driftmaster Bonus.
In second place were George Smith of Dallas, North Carolina and Ricky Smith of Kings Mountain, North Carolina with a total weight of 8.16 and earning $300.00. The team fished the middle area of Lake Wylie long line trolling in various depths using Charlie Brewer Slider jigs in brown to land 60 – 70 fish for the event.
Taking third place was Jim Hood and Christian Gerth, both of Rock Hill, South Carolina weighing in at 7.97 pounds and earning $200.00. Mill Creek was this teams secret area who were fishing their very first Crappie USA Event. The team used assorted color jigs of Crappie Magnet to catch 40 fish for the day.
The team of Eric and Gracie Fenstemake won the Ranger Cup Bonus of $125.00 in the Amateur Division.

7 fish weigh in. By the looks of those weights seems pretty tough on Wylie right now.
