Default Crappie Fishing at Beaver Dam - 3-31-2017

This beautiful private lake in the north Mississippi delta near Tunica is well known for crappie fishing and duck hunting.

I've been told this is the second oldest duck hunting club in the U.S.

I've wanted to go crappie fishing here for years! I can't thank my host enough for inviting me.

When I finally got the opportunity to visit these hallowed waters I jumped on it...

This just goes to prove that "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry".
I had a blast! I did catch some crappie and a hard fighting drum. I can't wait to visit Beaver Dam again...

Hey man I was there that day. Looks like you caught the same species I did. It was a tough day but it seemed like a perfect day to go.
    Great Pics.

That's really cool. I've read some Nash Buckingham, that place is steeped in tradition. Thanks for sharing the photos.
    It is what it is!
