Should be illegal to NOT keep a white perch. I know out west where some non-native trout have gotten into certain trout waters around yelllowstone, it is illegal to throw the non native species back. Seems like cut throat was the native and maybe rainbow or lake trout were the non native. Something like that.

I think he perch have bee quite detrimental to the crappie on Norman.

Sorry for the late report guys. I went back Thursday afternoon and fished for about 2 hours. Took me about an hour to find a few fish. They were stacked up in a spot where a creek/ditch comes into the river. I caught a dozen or so in about 20 min in that one spot then they turned off or either they all had sore lips. Most of the ones i caught were decent size males.

Friday on my lunch break I tried Stagecoach Rd for the 1st time this year. I caught 4 underneath the bridge in the shade in about 15 min.

The majority of the fish I have caught this year have been on a White Rooster tail.

Made it back to the river yesterday and fished for about 4 hours. The big females have finally showed up in good numbers. 2 of us probably caught 50 or more keepers. Most were females with a few small males mixed in. All the fish we caught were in about a 1/4 mile stretch of the river. White 1/8th oz rooster tail and a suspending jerk bait. I have a few pictures I will try to post once I get them off my phone.

I would say the spawn is in full swing. Should only get better between now and the end of April.

Never fished the eno river, if you ever want a fishing buddy and don't mind me tagging along I would like to give the eno a try.

There were a lot of vehicles parked there today and yesterday. I had to work & couldn't find out how the fishing was first hand. I'll know better on Saturday though.

I have only been to PB one time this year. The water was so low I did not even fish. I am sure you can catch some if you walk down river from the parking lot. We need one good rain to get them up river real good.

Buzzbait is right, need some rain, to get the river up. But I have been down the river belows the trestle, and caught some nice ones with 1/8th roostertail, and small jerk baits. But it is slow, hard to rack and stack em quickly, but still FUN!!!!
