I was blessed with another memorable day of single pole crappie fishing in North Ms. I got to the Lake with No Name around 2:00pm and left at 5:30pm.

With plenty of crappie in the freezer I really enjoy catch-n-release.

Maybe I will get to see them again.

All the bank fishermen were making disparaging remarks...

I don't think they approved of my catch-n-release.

Even the fish seemed a little confused at their sudden liberty...

I ended the afternoon with a total of 7 catch-n-releasers and an additional 4 under the 12" limit.

I hope many fisherman here on Crappie.com also practice catch-n-release. Join in the fun... Who knows you may even win the contest!

, PM me your mailing address. I'm declaring you the PRE-WINNER, WINNER. We will still have a winner for this contest later too, but because, well, just because, I'm gonna send you a prize pack now. Congrats and thank you for your posts.

There's a reason I include the following disclaimer in all the contests I run: Prizes and Rules subject to change without notice. And now you know why! What a great post.

Took my cousin to catch some pigs. This was his biggest to date. When I told him we were gonna release her he never questioned me. I explained that we had to leave the females this time of year due to the spawn. Fish was 15.5" and about to pop. I couldn't give you a definite weight bc I don't have scales..but I'd say she was between 2.5 and 3...I will be getting some scales soon
