    Default Ft. Loudon 3/23/17

Wife and I went to Loudon for a little while today. We started off on a couple of the deep spots where I have been catching them for the last few weeks. Caught a few but they were pretty slow. We moved to another deep spot and it was about the same. 1 every 15 minutes maybe, mostly short fish. I decided to try shallower and put a minnow under a bobber, and it was on! We fished about 6-7 feet deep in 15 feet of water or less, near downed trees and near the main channel. Ended up keeping 7, she caught her personal best, 14" white crappie, and we had a couple of bass and bream, too. We probably could have stayed and gotten a limit, but we took our 2-year old with us and she was over it. Quite a few short fish again today. Water temp was about 58 when we left.
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.

Was the water still fairly muddy?

It was definitely stained, but not what I'd call muddy. Some places were muddy where there was a lot of boat traffic but overall no.
