Clinton 3-8,9,10
Finally got out for first trips of the year and it's really good to find out that the old boat and motor still works. I fished all three days from 3-6 pm. The first day was spent looking for fish still in a winter pattern with very limited success so the next time out I concentrated on structure that I thought would hold fish in a pre-spawn pattern. This did not produce much either but I did see a few inactive fish around this structure on downscan and caught three keepers quickly right at dusk. This gave me enough encouragement to give it another try Friday thinking that I had something figured out. Friday was overcast and no wind all day, just the way I like it but soon after getting on the water the wind started blowing from the NE and temps started dropping as a front was moving in. I tried looking for fish in a winter and pre-spawn mood with no luck. Guess I will have to keep looking for them again next time.

Fished Clinton today after work again, water temp was down to 45 deg on main lake area. Sampled brush piles in different depths but most fish caught from 14-20 ft deep on 2" white slabslayers. Took home ten for supper so not a bad deal really.
