    Another way to identify the Kentucky bass is that they have a noticeable red streak in their eye. Or at least every one I've caught has.

    Those are all largemouth bass. The jaw extends too far past the eye to be a spotted

    All fish can change color depending on water chemistry. Catch a bass or white perch or bream at black bayou or Cheniere Lake and they will all be dark.

    Catch one on Ouachita River or Poverty Point or muddy water and they will be light colored
