Back in the day my buddie and I would fish brush piles at night this time of year and do quite well. We would set the brush out at drop offs, 20+’ or so, in coves. Would tie jugs to the brush to keep it upright, could sometimes see them at “Low Tide’. Used the long White Thill corks delicately balanced to detect a Crappie even if all they did was sniff the bait. Alas Alack my buddie died and I moved, haven’t been there in some time now but I’m sure the technique will still work. I sorta grew up in Blair and remember when they built the lake.
