I have to go the scrAp yard a few days every week for work and am always on the lookout for more lead. Stumbled upon a bucket of these a few days ago and put a claim on em until I can melt a few down and see if it's any good.
Scratches easy and bends fairly easy.
Any ever melt down anything like these?

Not even sure what you have. Cook it down in a big pot and make ingots. It could have any number of alloys in it that you may not want for jigs. Sure looks good though.
Lead redeemable doubloons someone scrapped.
Will melt one down, pour and compare to my X-ray lead.

Can't believe it is lead in the public. Maybe bismuth!

Be interesting to see how it comes out!
If you can bend it easy I don't think it will have much of anything else in it. The other alloys stiffen it pretty good, like in wheel weights, to help it hold it's shape. Good find.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Looks like you could have about $1 million in merchandise there........ If only they accepted them at Academy.
I will take it if you dont want it. LOL
29 coins at 75 cents makes a pound.
