I fished Cedar for the first time yesterday this year. All my buddies were busy or just smarter for staying out of the wind! I did manage my limit but it was a job! I was long lining in 3-28 ft. Speed .9-2.0 depending on the wind. Used 1/16 Road runners in the shallow water and 1/8 and double rig 1/16 in deeper water. Southern Pro 2" Hot Grub in Weiss Lake seemed to be the best. Water Temp 54-57.![]()
Nice job.
Cedar is one of my favorite places to fish but its just so dang far of a drive for me. Great job!
Good report ! Glad you stuck it out and stay at em!
Thanks for the report. Great job. Been once with Scott Echols and really liked Cedar Creek. Scott out-fished the heck out of me![]()

Fishing is a privilege...catching is a bonus. Enjoy each precious moment we have to experience our great outdoors!
I loved fishing down there and at Little Bear. Its about an 1hr 15 min drive for me. I live on the upper end of Shoals Creek. But have to go where you feel you can catch them!

I love the upper end of Shoals Creek up next to the TN state line. Kayak or small boat both work good, but I have mostly fished for bass up there. I would love to spend some time up there this year crappie fishing.
Congrats nice job
