I got a price on a Ranger RT188C today with a 115 Yamaha, 80lb thrust Minnkota Ultera, Ipilot and Helix 7SI with link at Trader Bill's. I think I might find a little better price. Any Ideas? Thanks
Was you sitting when trader bill told you. Close to 40 then 30. That the same boat I been look at and Bill @big river marine has my boat and helping me set it up.

Not sure if it's true or not, but if it's a custom boat from the factory Ranger sets the price not the dealer. When I bought my RT188 I got online and built it and it gave you the price! Supposed to be some kind of no haggle deal. Of course there's always room to haggle for extras and maintenance type things.

I agree, Bill's your man.
rzrbakhunter, that's kind of what they were telling me too but also there was room for haggle but I told him I missed that part somehow. lol He held his finger over "their price" and showed me where they had knocked off 1K from the base price. I know this because there were several prices of other boats I could see on the same page. I told him I didn't see how they could sell boats and not make any money and he told me that was the way it worked out. I left!
I'm sure Ranger has a deal with their approved dealers where they get commission. Also I was told Ranger will run special promotions that aren't really advertised to certain dealers. But I learned early in life to take everything a salesman says with a grain of salt. I went to two dealers the first had one but not what I wanted and when I got online and built it the price on the Ranger website was 1k less and mentioned it to him and he kind of changed subjects real fast. Ended up buying mine from Cabelas because I told them what I wanted and it was the same price as what I built on line. Also had them throw in a pretty good size gift card so I could get the rest of the essentials. This was before I was a member on here so I'm sure I will be giving BigRiverMarine a shout for my next boat because I've heard nothing but good things from satisfied customers on here.

have you checked into buying a good older used glass boat, you can find some really nice boats in that 20k-30k range and you will have a whole lot more boat in the the end , wish i would have done it years ago before i went through a cuople smaller boats and kept an ole stump jumper for the real shallow lakes

. here is just a few if many that are listed on bass boat central and are from 20k to 27k and you can find some of the smaller 18 ft boats for well under 20k
