We started making these for trout fishing.Back in my trout guiding days.They were and are deadly.Double hook Trying some matzou sickles hooks,double barb nothing gets away..Modified with a wire weed guard .If ya hang them up no getting back.Going to give these a try on light biting high pressured crappie.

We use two jighooks. Like gold hooks the best.cut the line tie off of one hook at the bend.Lay it in the mold.Take another hook with line tie lay it on top of cut hook.install your wire weed guard.Close mold tight pour the lead into mold over hooks.Need to use one size smaller than mold calls for.If 2 us 2 4's ect. Takes a little time but worth it.Do not have to spread hooks very far apart once in the bait.We have several red matzou hooks that have broke have put them back and using them.Hate to throw hooks away.Will try to get a pic of process.Tomorrow have to see if they will bite before the cold front!!Doc you inspire me to mod stuff. LOL Enjoy modifying mold's!!If I were a tour fishermen these are all I would use.Nothing gets away!!!
