WTB 150 or 175 Used Boat Motor

My young nephew needs another boat motor on his older '92 Stratos boat. He lost compression in one of the cylinders in his old motor. He doesn't have a lot of money so he needs an older 150 or 175 outboard for less than $3500. He is open to different motor brands. Not sure if it is possible or not but that is what he can afford. It has to be within 300 miles of the Nashville, TN area so he can pick it up. Any ideas where he can find one? He is watching craigslist but no luck so far.

I remember a couple of guys that do re-manufactured blocks up your way. Might be easier for him to just change the powerhead and not have to rerig controls and such. Just a thought. My mechanic that I used in Winchester got sick and moved or I would send you his way.
