Size: 84.6 KBTook the boss out this evening for a few hours. He doesn't fish much so putting him on fish doesn't hurt right???

Anyways we had a great day size wise. Numbers were ok. I'm guessing about 22 or so. I'll count tomorrow when I filet. Still we didn't get out there till 315 and fished till 615.

The largest was 2 1/2. Two more were 2lbs. And 3 or 4 in the 1.5 range. Lost another nice one but most all stayed hooked up. The main brush pile we caught them on last Tuesday had fish but we only caught 2 there. Nothing's changed much as I'm still in about 15-18 ft. Fishing with minnows about 6-9 ft down over the brush. I'll include a few pictures so you can see what I'm seeing. This has been the best year so far for me as far as pre spawn fish. Most years I don't start catching them until after the spawn. Some of these pictures the depth is off as the unit thinks the top of the brush is the bottom.Good luck to those going this upcoming week.Name: IMG_4051.jpg

Nice! Either you got teeny tiny feet or that is one really big crappie! I plan to try to get up there later this week so hopefully you left a few of the big girls for me. The lake is still showing about 10 feet low. It will make it interesting when the fish do hit the banks to spawn as most of the areas I know they like to spawn, they would have to walk on land to get there.

Size 9.5. But it was a 16 inch crappie. I've never caught this many big fish on their way in. Maybe the lack of cover from low water has them concentrated on my brush which isn't sticking out of the water??? I'm still a rookie so I'm trying to make sense of it all.

Just finished filleting. Only 4 did not have eggs out of 22. And the second largest (2 lbs) did not have eggs. Do males get that big? Eggs are the only thing I know to check between male and female. The 2 lb without eggs seems like a bigger catch than the 2.5 with them.

Yes males get big to. You see the biggest males on the first run of the spawn on most lakes. Nice catch, congrats.
