    Question The hill today

Well me and a good friend that I haven't fished with in a couple years braved it and went to the hill. We started at the same place we fished Tuesday and they were not biting. We fished it for a couple hours and only caught a couple of fish so we went down river to the next cove and fished it. The bite got a little better and we ended the day with 18 nice crappie. We were pulling 1/16 oz road runners at right around 1 mph. Water is dingy and has good color. Color did not seem to matter. I fished 2 down rods out the front about 6 ft deep and caught 4 or 5 on them. Water temp was right around 62 all day. I was proud of my old boat as I never had to use a drift sock. The jig rods had 1 oz weight on them.

Glad you got out and fished. I was working today and it was chilly and windy, wouldn't have wanted to be on Wylie at all. Thanks for the report Don.

Glad y'all had a good time and caught some fish. Did you tip them with minnows? Thanks for the report Don.

You have to watch out fishing the Hill, it will reach out and grab you and you will not want to fish another lake
Good report Don and it is good to hear the bite picked up for you. The wind here yesterday was howling at times and I wondered what the lakes were like.

It was rough and we could never get out of it. My old champion handles the wind as good as any boat out there. I could go downwind and maintain 1 to 1.2 with no trouble. I am going back Monday to give it another try.

The hill can be addicting, take in large doses. Great catch!
