Default I Done Went and Modded Another Mold

What can I say, I'm an addict. Modded another weedless mold to an underspin. This time I used the same wire insert that you would use on the smaller Herring head mold. Also started painting my fiberguards. Very tricky stuff here. Enjoy.

Travis, have you seen those weed guard protectors they make for heating and painting? Saw them in Do-It catalogue or Barlow's some place like that.

Yes I have but never have purchased them. I always forget too for some reason. I'm using a trick DStreet told me about. I drilled out a dowel rod and place over the fiberguard when heating head. I only heat the bottom of head. Still need to be real careful as you'll easily melt the guard right off in a blink of an eye. I under heat the head just enough to hold powder on head and not melt fibers and then dip in paint extra long to put extra paint on head. I then bake head for 20 minutes at 220 and it doesn't melt fiber and cures paint to head. Some fibers will want to fray. I simply pull all heads out one at a time and twist fibers together and throw in a cup of water.

Nip it sounded like a great idea. I guess that's why we are experimenting.
