    Default State parks with crappie around Columbia


    Does anyone know any state park lakes with crappie in it withing an hour or so around columbia? Already know of chester state park just looking for another one.

    I haven't used any State parks, I looked at a couple and decided not to go. You should look at DNR lakes also. Some don't get fished very often. Draper has 3 lakes and one is so far from the beaten path no one goes to it to fish. Worth Mountain has a couple too! Hope you find a honey hole!

    Worth mountain is near the new boat access ramp on the Broad River! Lot's of bass and small mouths in there .

    Wateree State park. Lots of crappie in there. If MiCorps ain't fished it out!

    You have Santee State Park, it has crappie fishing Have never stayed there but it is on my bucket list.

    Andrew Jackson State Park. Gotta rent a boat. They do allow hand launched yaks ( I think).

    Greenwood state park off of hwy 34 about 30 minutes away from newberry is right on the water. I usually take the camper and the boat for a long weekend in march
