    My crappie guru friend I sought out this year is also the Morel whisperer and after talkng to him found a patch right up the creek from where I caught these crappie and shot Turkey!

    I will be there opening few days of turkey season and when crappie are in bigtime at T hill. thinking of hosting CDC members who might want to come up and do the triple slam. Turkey hunting, which is great, crappie which were unbelieveable and morel hunting.

    Actually that was my son's turkey a jake I set him up on. I killed two big toms the last two days of season. could have killed 5 or more last two days, it was really crazy.

    One of my crew's favorite meals is to fry up crappie, wild turkey chunks and fries at the same time. don't hardly need plate as we eat them right out of the grease!

    Definitely my favorite time of year we beach the boat and go after gobbling toms then switch gears at 1 and crappie fish all afternoon.
